Indra Dosanjh:  Management Consultant and Social Entrepreneur

On Assignment: Indra Dosanjh is a senior management consultant  affecting technology based change for organizations in Financial, Telecommunications, Manufacturing and services industries.  She is currently on assignment with a Toronto based, web technologies start-up as Director of Product Development and Operations. She is leading the development of a B2B product targeting small businesses using Agile tools and methodologies.

Industry Speaker: Provided talks at various Technology conferences, such as COMDEX, Business Management,  Change and Information Technology Projects at local Management schools and various industry forums.

Motivational Speaker: Universities, High Schools and women’s forums, Professional Associations for Small Business and Consulting.

Community: Indra is active in the community she was recently a member of the Advisory Board with the Toronto Arthritis Society. As a guest Advisory Board member for the Integrative Thinking Program at Rotman School of Business, provided guidance to MBA students for their strategy projects. Past board member of Canadian Association of Women Executives and Entrepreneurs, CAWEE.

Professional Interests: Indra continues to explore concepts related to Innovation and Creative Thinking frameworks, Open Source technologies and trends like crowd sourcing that are transforming various industries.

Education: Ms. Dosanjh received her MBA from the University of Toronto and she studied Computer Studies at De Montfort University in the U.K.

Indra has held several senior positions for Xerox Global Services, North America which includes Strategic Alliance Manager, Service Line Manager to develop Service Offerings for the Document Design and Composition market and Delivery Managing Principal for the Document Communications Services Team for North America including Manager National Project Management Office (PMO) for Canada. As Managing Consultant she led and managed a National Program to deliver initial engagements with strategic clients including launching the program nationally for all sales region. With clients, Indra led and facilitated the workshops to tap latent creativity and potential within the organization to highlight opportunities for improving revenues or reducing costs. Some client engagements included HSBC, CitiGroup (US), ING Canada, Allianz (now acquired by ING), AXA Assurance, The Economical Insurance Group of Canada, DHL Canada, Securican Pet Insurance, AimTrimark, Queen’s University, University of British Columbia.

She was an early leader in establishing and growing the Xerox professional document services(XPDS) organization, which focused on delivering enterprise wide solutions in the areas of document management and workflow management.

As Director at Tucows a dot company she helped strengthen the organization with proven systems processes and structured methodologies including building Project management and Quality Assurance expertise to support a rapidly growing business. Indra was part of the senior team that created the winning bid for the .info registry. She was responsible for assembling and leading the project team that built the .info registry.

Soon after completing her EMBA in 1997, Ms. Dosanjh founded a technology and management consulting organization Online Knowledge Inc. where over 3 years she rapidly grew the business, working with clients at ‘C’ levels in organizations like Ontario Legal Aid of Toronto, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and University of Toronto.

Indra refined her Project Management and Systems Integration skills with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in the mid-eighties to early nineties. Before joining DEC, she was an integral team member of the Canadian Red Cross I.T. team that developed, delivered an implemented the first online Blood Information Management System (BLIS) nationally.

Indra first launched her career in IT as an Assembler programmer for a software development company in the U.K.
